Sunshine Kids Yoga Facilitator
Hello! My name is Laura Peck, sometimes known as Laura Jo. I am certified by Next Generation Yoga to teach ages 8-13 children's yoga. Teaching children's yoga ties together two things I am extremely passionate about, the power of yoga and the world of child development! I graduate from Friends University in May, 2019 with degrees in Sociology and Christian Spiritual Formation, and am pursuing a career as a Certified Child Life Specialist in a children's hospital. After being introduced to some aspects yoga as a child by my mom, I eventually found my own yoga practice at the beginning of college, finding it to be an avenue of healing and possibility for me. In my free time, I enjoy skating and hanging out with the cool people of the Wichita Figure Skating Club, teaching yoga at The Boys and Girls Club, volunteering at Wesley Children's Hospital, reading, and writing.
