Parents and kids playfully explore yoga postures and breathing awareness through rhymes, songs, games, partnering, and stories!
Kid focused yoga improves body awareness and control, promotes self esteem and self expression, increases listening skills, improves impulse control, and fosters peace and well-being. Practicing yoga together fosters healthy relationships and plays a significant role in enjoying physical activity.
Families should dress comfortably for movement. Each person should have their own mat. Loaner mats are available.
The demand for kids and family yoga is on the rise! There is a significant difference between teaching adults, different ages of kids, and family yoga. It is essential that facilitators have a heart for this specialty yoga, and undergo the appropriate studies and training.
Hello! My name is Sheryl Haynes. I created Sunshine Family Yoga to bring families together, and the love of yoga in hearts and homes. I mainly facilitate prenatal, Yoga Baby & Mommy Itsy Bitsy Yoga, and Sunshine Yoga in Schools class/offerings. I am trained/certified as an Itsy Bitsy Yoga and Next Generation Yoga for 2-7 years facilitator.
